Tungsten Nickel Copper Alloy Tungsten Heavy Alloy
Tungsten Nickel Copper Alloy is made of tungsten, nickel, copper and other chemical elements in appropriate proportions. The alloy mainly contains more than 85% tungsten and a small amount of nickel and copper. The ratio of nickel to copper added is usually 3:2. WNiCu alloy is produced by processes such as liquid phase sintering and additive element alloying. Due to the different characteristics and uses of the alloy, the main components can be divided into W-Ni-Fe, W-Ni-Cu, W-Co, W-WC-Cu, W-Ag, etc. series
Tungsten Nickel Copper Alloy Features:
Tungsten nickel copper (W-Ni-Cu) high density alloy
High density (17-18.75 g/cm3)
High melting point
Good corrosion and oxidation resistance
High tensile strength (700-1000Mpa), good elongation
Good plasticity and workability
Good thermal and electrical conductivity
Low vapor pressure, good thermal stability, small thermal expansion coefficient
Good workability and solderability
Strong radiation absorption capacity (30-40% higher than lead), strong absorption capacity for γ-rays or x-rays
Because their specific gravity is greater than 17 or higher, they are often referred to as tungsten-based high specific gravity alloys.
Tungsten Nickel Copper Alloy application
X-ray and gamma-ray radiation shielding
Aerospace, military, oil drilling and other fields;
Weight and counterweight balance
Boring bars and grinding
Electric heating upsetting anvil, piercing shell core, crankshaft balance
Rotating inertial member
Ordnance Components
High temperature tools
